Discover Level the Field: Empowering Communities
Level the Field collects new and gently used sports gear to provide to underprivileged youth. Our mission is to make childhood memories accessible for all, not just those who can afford it. By bridging the gap, we aim to level the playing field and build a stronger, more inclusive sports community.
About Level the Field
Our Founder
Level the Field was founded by Skylar Mittelsteadt who is currently a Sophomore at ETSU and part of the ETSU Elevates community engagement program. After playing school & travel soccer Skylar began coaching middle school soccer in Sullivan County and identified a community need for equipment for all players. Skylar's passion is to ensure that all players are able to participate in sports and have access to the community and cameraderie inherent in team sports.
Our Partner
Level the Field is partnered with the Greater Kingsport Family YMCA. As the leading nonprofit for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the Y works side-by-side with our neighbors every day to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.
